Your files

Your files are never uploaded. Every conversion and compression runs inside your browser on your own device. MediaShift has no server that receives, stores or reads your files. When you close the tab, the files and results are gone from the page’s memory.

What is stored on your device

• The website and the FFmpeg engine are cached by your browser so the tool loads faster and works offline. You can clear this at any time from your browser’s site settings.
• MediaShift doesn’t use cookies for tracking or advertising.

Hosting and network requests

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and the FFmpeg engine is downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN. Like any website, these providers may keep standard technical logs of requests (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. These logs never contain your files.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
